Extremely Frustrating and Overpriced

I had a terrible experience with TurboTax this year. The software was glitchy, constantly freezing, and I had to restart multiple times. It kept trying to upsell me on services I didn’t need, even though I was just trying to file a simple return. What used to be a quick process turned into hours of frustration. On top of that, the pricing is outrageous for the value provided. I ended up paying way more than expected and still didn’t feel confident in my return. Never using TurboTax again.

Was easy to follow. I converted an IRA to a Roth and was able to complete my return on my own. I tried using another online provider and got bogged down and couldn’t finish.

TurboTax is Sloppy

I have used TurboTax for years, usually enjoy the app. This year, it was terrible, I finished my tax return quickly (under an hour), and payed for it, etc, and then after checking in a month later because I hadn't received my tax return, I found out it wasn't officially filed. The app cared more about making sure I paid them than filing my returns.
TurboTax never clarified this or even notified me via email. Everything was done, except the official filing. Ridiculous, I could have been fined a lot of money if I hadn't double-checked myself.
