*You've asked me for a "Overall Product Rating," and NOT a customer service representative rating - so I want my review to reflect that* ***Trenell's customer service was 5 stars - MORE than 5 stars, exemplary.*** However, the TurboTax software I give 0-1 star, and I only give it that much because of its ease of use...until you want to charge me money for a product that says FREE everywhere. Your own website and customer questions pages all say that I can still use TurboTax FREE if I have a HSA, so long as I didn't make any contributions outside of payroll, which I did not. However, I could NOT get your FREE software to work, it kept insisiting that it needed to charge me DELUXE in order to file my EXTREMELY SIMPLE return - because of the HSA, despite your own website stating multiple times that this is not the case. IF I CAN'T FILE MY EXTREMELY SIMPLE 1040 FOR FREE, I ASK YOU, WHO CAN??! The system also estimated that most people with my VERY SIMPLE tax return will take about 30 mins to complete - mine took over 2 hours because of how difficult your system is in constantly and fraudulently driving customers towards your PAID versions, and making it seem like they don't have a choice BUT to pay for the higher versions.

Turbotax is stealing money from every citizen

Its easy to use but we all know that you killed a free tax filing service provided directly by the IRS because you love skimming $200 off the top of every return. I don't know how you sleep at night. We are the only industrialized country that doesn't have a free online tax filing service provided directly by the government and it is directly your fault due to your extensive lobbying efforts. The only reason I continue to use this is because I am lazy, you already have all my info, and I procrastinate for too long every year to go to an actual tax guy. One of these days, though I will take my money and my forms with me
