expensive and annoying

from midland tx
120 dollars to file a simple 1040 ez is ridiculous this was over 25% of my return. Asking to upgrade every section is annoying. Once again it’s a simple 1040 ez. Stop asking for everyone to pay more when they don’t need it

Tries to scam you after every page

gives you offers and intentionally tries to mislead you into purchasing something you dont need and if you happen to click on one of those offers, they make it as hard as possible to get out of it. I do like some features of turbo tax but it used to be so much better before i had to navigate all of their scams and attempts to nickel and dime you at every step of the way till the very end. doing my taxes on my own should not cost the 180 they charge now. the day i find something better ill never look back.
