Confusing Language and Issues with PA State Filing

Some of the system is phrased for the average person to know what's going on. Other parts are riddled with technical jargon that means nothing to the average person. This would be a stronger--and less stressful--product if all of it were in "normal people" language. There is also something wrong in the way this presents information for PA State Tax Returns. Every year I enter my information and when the state filing is complete I get a screen that says I owe some outlandish amount of money to the state--this year it was something like $3,200. But then a few screens later it said I owed Pennsylvania $88. It did the same thing last year. I uploaded and completed all the information and got a message that I owed the state thousands of dollars. Then, a few steps later, I owed a very small amount of money. Whatever is happening in the system creates a lot of unnecessary stress in an already stressful process.
Turbo tax made it simple and easy to enter my information. It literally walks you through every step to make sure you've captured all the necessary information
I have used TurboTax for 4 years now, and I have found that it has an easy-to-navigate interface and helpful tooltips to make the taxes process as simple as it can be. I will continue to use this product for years to come. Thanks!
If I’m doing my own taxes this should be free! If I wanted to pay to file my taxes I’d go to the tax preparer down the street and let them figure it out. Couple that with a convenience fee to pay with my card, this is nonsense!
