it was good and helpful for the most part, but, I was told that the deluxe would be $79. In actuality, it was $143. It was not transparent with the pricing. I feel like in truth, I didn't actually need the deluxe.

TurboTax has really stepped up their game with clearer pricing and an easy, quiz-style interface that takes the stress out of tax filing. It's straightforward and makes the whole process feel less overwhelming.

They take more than half of my returns

It's robbery. I was supposed to get 226 dollars back in my return, but after taking the deduction and the fee, which was 79 dollars, it proceeded to take an additional 40 to pay with my own refund.

Sleazy software for busy or lazy people

I hope this is the last year I will submit to being conned by Turbo Tax. This software gets sleazier every year, always finding new opportunities to trick or compel users into paying unnecessary fees.

Stop lobbying the federal government to basically make it required to use your service that you then charge for. $80 for a fairly straight forward filing is robbery.
