Easy and Quick, Save Money

No one likes to pay more money than needed. I ended up having a CPA review my taxes because TurboTax said I owed more money than I thought I owed. But...much to my dismay everything checked out...and he said it usually does. The process using TurboTax was easy and quick. Painless other than paying more money than I would have wanted to. What a CPA wanted to charge me $1100 for, I paid less than $200 here. For straight forward taxes, I'd recommend.

TurboTax unexpected surprises

Unexpected charges of $40.00 for processing fee plus the Turbo Tax fee of $79.00. The multiple Consent To/Select It's OK to use your info. And if you select Decline at the end, the statement on the screen pops up that you won't receive your refund. So you are forced to give Consentto TurboTax to use your info for other means than just your tax return. So the Privacy is no longer private.
Then you MUST have your previous tax year information readily available to answer a question in order to move to the closing screens
and this could be troublesome if, you don't recall where it is or the transcript option is not as easy either. Wish this was noted at the beginning of getting started.
The good thing is, it was $160.00 cheaper than most places, but also frustrating not truthfully knowing all that was needed in order to receive my earned tax refund.

The absolute worst

Trying to contact a human being was a 25 minute ordeal with a next to useless AI. All because Intuit lobbies congress to make the tax code a nightmare to actually get anything done. So thanks for making my life difficult by using useless AIs, attempting to force me to pay for a free service, and making it nearly impossible to reach customer service. Customer service was extremely helpful and they deserve 5 stars while the rest of the company can go bankrupt and the CEO can live in a van down by the river homeless an hopeless.
