It's very misleading and tries to trick you into buying extras you don't need and all the extra fees associated with using the return to pay. But my big gripe is it automatically put me in a paid version instead of the basic free version and I didn't feel like spending more time redoing my taxes because you don't find out until you finish and go to file.

TurboTax claims to be a free service but robbed me for $143 in order to file. Just because I made marginally more income in 2024 than 2023, I'm on the hook for a Medicare form 8959? And I have to pay for the deluxe version just to file this form? Ridiculous

Do Not Use Turbo Tax

Turbo Tax is deceiving. It let me go further with the free version and then would NOT give me the option to exit the paying version. It made me pay 100+ for a credit worth ~70
