I love how easy it is to file, but I in error selected the Max charge and could not change. What you want to pay is very hard to understand. Was charged to my account and can not change, $49.00 ERROR, Not Happy

It Works - Fees are Excessive

TurboTax is an easy tax option for people to use to independently process their federal and state taxes. The process is very simple (easy to follow the prompts/steps as outlined by the site). TurboTax checks for errors. I will never pay for deluxe or any other additional features as the basic option is sufficient. My employer utilizes PerksAtWork and I was to receive 20% off my federal filing fee but TurboTax did not adjust the total to reflect the 20%, which historically their discount codes and deals have never worked but I believed since this one was through my employer it would be different - I was wrong. There are free options for filing with the same level of simplicity; unfortunately, for me, I have continued to pay and use TurboTax because my information is pre-populated and stored in addition to all of my historical tax filings being here but the fees are getting excessive. Example, $40 to pay for my taxes to deposit into my own bank account? I have to pay to deposit my own money into my own account.....yikes! Overall, it gets the job done, it is simple but it is a more costly option than competitors. Happy Filing and adulting!
