TurboTax is a Scam!

It takes very long. Did not get my expected return back. I was charged for filing even though I made under 79k for the year. TurboTax is a scam and I hope they get rid of the IRS. I have to pay to earn my money, spend my money, and in some cases keep my money. Unbelievable what they do to the hard working American.

It may look easy to fill out, but don’t be fooled—they hit you with hidden fees left and right. It’s supposed to be free, but by the time you're done, you're stuck paying for things you never saw coming. IT'S NOT FREE—don’t fall for it.

Garbage tax software

It's always a pain using turbotax and I never get close to what's expected. The cost is ludicrous. Professional tax services charge less and in the past they have gotten me back THOUSANDS more on my return. Had to use turbo tax in a pinch....never again. Let's not discuss how last year I was forced to pay up front for a better version and ended up not even filing and turbo tax wouldn't refund my money.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Sign on process was not good. But uploading via QR code was a good feature. TT says under 60 mins but it took me almost 3.30 hours despite having most docs ready.
