Expensive and not really worth it

Turbotax does in fact do taxes, but this was painful. Absolutely painful and full of nickel and diming. Every 10 minutes they're trying to sell you on something new. Additionally, the way the prompts navigate homestead tax in MI was confusing and at first mistakenly told me I did not qualify for a credit that would give me 300 dollars. I believe this was intentionally set up to be confusing so I would break down and pay for the live consultant. For extra fun, they offer to let you pay for turbotax with your federal refund... ...for a service fee of $40. This is just pathetic. $40 so you don't have to enter a credit card number. I would rate this service lower, but it does technically still format your tax forms.

Forced to upgrade even though the 1 item that required the upgrade didn't lower my tax bill. Been using this for years and this is the first time I've had to upgrade. Will be using a different filing site next year. Thanks for nothing TurboTax.

TurboTax is a scam

Turbo Tax made me pay for the deluxe addition because they added a credit that I couldn’t get without the deluxe addition. And they did not give me the option of removing the credit form from my taxes so I had to pay turbo tax more than the credit was worth.
