Some challenges

Good experience. Have used for years. One challenge. I have used PDF upload for my W2 information. My early return showed i OWED Federal taxes which was unusual. I did the check and no errors on the Federal return. I then went into the return itself and reviewed line by line. I found that my primary employer W2 did not capture State tax deductions and it was blank. I manually corrected and it put the return on par with prior years. I was just disappointed that the system did not catch that i normally have tax deductions and did not.

TOO EXPENSIVE FOR A VERY SIMPLE RETURN

I had a simple return with a standard deduction, 401k, pension and SS income. I was charged $49 for the simple return. I was not give any other less expensive option from the web site. I think that was not right and should have the fee refunded. NO ... "long form" Schedule A entries were ever made or required!! No special treatment required, at all!
