Continuously tries to trick you into various upgrades and payments between sections until eventually you get to the end and are forced to upgrade in order to file. Total gimmick

Listen. TurboTax is an unnecessary middle man and $120+ is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for what is essentially an electronic envelope. The government already knows what is owed. This process is inefficient and a waste of time.
PS. I don't mind paying taxes to support schools, roads, public health, civil infrastructure. I'm not salty about that. I'm complaining that the messenger gets my cash for no relevant reason.

It says you can file for free but it won’t let you. Had to pay because I could not change the product.
