Not sure why people give TurboTax such a bad rap. Yes, you can file for free with the IRS but it's much more difficult. Especially if your tax situation doesn't revolve around just your W2s. TurboTax holds your hand through the entire process and explains everything in plain English so us non-accountant types can easily understand it. So the small cost is totally worth it for the ease of use.
