Good but charges a bit much now...

Always liked using credit karma/ turbotax. Didn't mind small payments for the work but losing $128 out of this year's already miniscule return a bit of a letdown.

TurboTax wants to charge for everything now. $40 to use your refund to pay for their fees. $30 for alternate return payment options. If you do happen to get anything for your return, TurboTax will take the rest and constantly ask if you want to upgrade instead of just focusing on the "free" version of my taxes I chose to do. Gets worse and worse every year.

New scam

New feature that MAKES you pay to file your return.
As I was getting ready to process my return I flipped to the next page and there was a section telling me I need to pay because there was some form (I did not see this form, and never have) that they needed to charge me $128 to file which had no difference on my refund. There was no way to go around it or say this does not apply to me. Once I clicked onto the page the only way it would let me go was forward. Hopefully this does not happen to you. Definitely will not use next year.
