TurboTax is a scam

I've been filing with TurboTax since 2018 and never had any issues. I always filed for free and never upgraded to any packages for an additional fee. This year as I am filing my 2025 taxes, for some reason it would not let me opt out of the "Deluxe Do It Yourself" package, which is quite ironic since I'm being charged for it when I never received any guidance whatsoever. I kept trying to downgrade since I always choose for free $0, but couldn't. This is so disappointing and now my tax refund decreased just because I had to pay for something I never wanted. Might be my last time filing with TurboTax. Shame.

It makes me ANGRY that because I participated in a paid medical study that I had to pay $79 to file my return. What a rip off considering a single line entry on a form you chose not to include in the free version cost me money. Your profanity filter is a TAD sensitive I would also say.

Turbo Tax, Easy and Reliable

This year, my return was different than previous years, as I was a full-time student. I had a few questions, but they were quickly answered by the live agent. This made me feel at ease, getting clarification before moving on.
