Another worthwhile experience

A meticulous, and a comfortable experience as my process usually is. Back in 2019, I could not file my taxes with TurboTax because of a mistake on my W2 from my job's documentation process, so I enlisted the help of a TurboTax expert. I can't remember her name, but she was intelligent, professional, and surprisingly friendly.

Hidden fees and confusing instructions

Turbo tax filed my tax return somewhat easily. One of the forms was really confusing, though and provided no instructions on what information was required. I had to do some googling to figure it out. The really frustrating part was the amount advertised for us to file was $45 when in reality was $128. A company should be upfront about its costs. The cost of the federal return was $49, the cost of the state was $39, and there was an addtional $40 deposit fee. None of those numbers are $45.
