Nickel & Dimed

While no one would doubt TurboTax's ease of use, as a medium to low-income earner I find the interface incredibly predatory. It took two clicks on the not-so-obvious back button to find the 'File for free' option. Then, when it made me file my HSA account (that I don't even contribute to), it forces you to upgrade to your $80 file option. It's true, I got money back this year vs last, and I'm not upset at paying a little for my taxes getting done. However, I hope your 'just below the C-Suite' interface team, who is working hard figuring out clever ways to squeeze extra cash out of your users, knows that they are helping no one but their executives. Not a fan of the AI in your face this year, and one wonders if this review will be read by an AI. AI-generated Review Topics? Really? Might have to do my taxes elsewhere next year. No wonder Americans feel Nickel & Dimed.
