Lies about being “totally free”

Turbo Tax claims to be free when it isn’t. Then when you go to finish and pay it changes the price by a ton of money. You can definitely go to an accountant and have them do it for way cheaper. Turbo Tax also charges you to have the fees taken out of your return AS WELL as charging you just to RECEIVE your money. As a single Person with no dependents, 2 w2s, no assets other than a 401k, a simple plain jane tax completion should not cost me $220.

TurboTax is helpful per usual

Turbotax has always been straightforward but helpful with explaining what needs to be done. It's accurate and is easy to understand. The format of the online version I think is easier than the desktop version but both work great. I also like that the online version has options to be helped by live agents or oher features to help with understanding what to fill out and double checking you constantly. I appreciate the simplicty considering understanding taxe can be difficult.
