I FILE A SIMPLE 1040 FORM AND WHAT STARTED OUT AS A $39 VENTURE ENDED AT $169.00 NOT REALLY SURE WHY BUT I'VE USED TURBOTAX FOR MANY YEARS NOW AND I TRUST THE TECHNOLOGY SO I GUESS I HAVE TO PAY FOR ACCURACY.

Predatory Upselling for Tax Completion

This is the most I've ever been upsold on TurboTax – about $160 in additional fees for services I neither requested nor wanted (and I even avoided an additional $44 to pay via refund; I had to pay by credit card for no apparent reason)... Suffice it to say, I will be looking into other tax filing options for next year!
