Turbo Tax can be very agravating.

I kept getting a notice to review interest and dividends, but there was no hint of what was wrong. I finally removed check marks in a box that was listed as unusual, and that cleared the review message. I wasted a lot of time trying to solve this problem.

Turbo Tax is great. Intuit, not so much.

Somehow, instead of going thru TurboTax, I went thru Intuit. It was more convoluted than I've experienced with Turbo Tax and I have used Turbo Tax for several years. Not sure why it took me to Intuit. Doing donations was a little more difficult than with TurboTax. I will make sure that I am in the right product next year. This is the first time I have not used a CD and went online instead.

Bug requiring me to Mail in my state return, cost

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 25 years and this is the first time I had an issue requiring me to mail in my state return. My 1099-R was for a Roth IRA distribution and there was a glitch that was treating my distribution as a traditional IRA. The form for Pensions, Annuity and IRA withdrawals had both boxes checked stating it was a traditional and Roth IRA. I was stuck and could not get past the “Total IRA contributions previously taxed” question on the form. Assistance stated that TurboTax thought I had a Traditional IRA Distribution, but I did not. This was very frustrating and I spent many hours trying to recover from this and researching it. Finally I gave up and decided to mail in my state return. Also the cost of using Turbo Tax is getting ridiculous. I might consider you another tax return software package next year. Turbo Tax's rating are only 1.5 stars. That's crazy.

Turbo Tax = A 100% Winner

Easy, reliable, and a stress reducer. It made my life so much easier when it comes to tax filing. The feature improvements are awesome. Feeling confident with the accuracy, its guidance, plus the interface with accounts, and its compatibility are user winners.
