Last year, I used the desktop version of TurboTax to file my taxes. This year, I switched to the web version, and the experience was frustrating.
At the final step, it forced me to select how I filed last year, but the desktop version of TurboTax wasn’t even listed as an option. I had to choose “another software,” and then it asked me to enter details from last year that didn’t make sense in this context.
The whole process felt confusing and unnecessarily complicated. It took much longer than expected, and the experience was not smooth at all. Honestly, it made me frustrated.
Even if I hadn’t used TurboTax last year, I don’t see why I should be required to provide that information. This year’s experience has made me seriously consider using a different service next time.

Money grab by TurboTax

You tried to upsell us way too many times. This was a hassle to file the deluxe version. We will hire someone else to do our taxes next year. The money grab is out of line. Offer a service, let people know what you have to offer and then let the people choose the options they want. You keep on selling and selling to the point of being an annoying used car salesman.

I loved this experience. However, I cannot give a fifth star until I actually get my refund and know that everything was done correctly. This would be better sent at a later date.
