This yrs online version is horrendously tedious.

Entering charitable donations was very tedious and difficult this year, why the change? My W-2 info did not transfer over, had to manually enter. Noted I did NOT want to go through uncommon deductions but it took me through each and every one anyway. Repeatedly asked me the same questions over and over even after having answered them. Seriously considering not using Turbo Tax again. Also, signed up for a discount code which was not factored in at the end.

Hidden Fees

Don't understand why I had to pay $128 just because I have an HSA. I made $0 of individual distributions to the HSA and ended up losing almost $60 by setting up that account, which most would call a responsible decision. Also, it wasn't nice that you said it would be $70 then charged me $128 because the state fees were completely hidden. Process wasn't bad, just upset about the hidden fees.

Consistently Bait & Switch Product Pricing

Every year, I get an on-screen offer from Turbo Tax for the cost of their suggested product, but they switch the price on you (same product) at the time of filing. I have a screenshot from Jan 25th where they offered the product I used for $49 (down from $79) with no codes offered, yet at the time of filing they insist on charging $69 for the same exact product with zero recourse. Shady practice, but a constant year-over-year thing I've noticed.

Turbo Tax was so easy to use & any time I had a question I just clicked the (?) link. I also talked with an expert whose name was Taylor. I wanted to verify a credit that I received. She was very friendly & helpful.
