It was easy to navigate the software. I have my returns rejected twice and the system helped me figure out the mistake after two tries.

Cost is getting to high

My friend says she is reporting you to the better bussiness bureau because you say free and then tack on other charges that are not anything extra for your company. She went to a different site than turbo tax & she got her full refund back rather than hidden charges.

Credit Karma/TurboTax is now a scam

Have been using this for years to do my daughter's taxes so I know for her simple returns there is no need for help so there is usually no fee. I have figured out all the tricks that they use to try to get you to go to a pay service and made sure she denied the non-required services. Well this year I finished up and I see there is a $40 charge, which is never explained but I figured for all the years I've used this product I figured I would pay my daughters fees. I put my card information in for the $40 dollar charge and hit submit. When the page comes back I see a receipt that shows my card was charged $125.00. The only detail I could find for the charge said I was charged for the federal and state taxes separately (even though earlier I had chosen to submit state and federal together) and both 'services' were more than $40. I am warning everyone that Credit Karma/TurboTax have sunken to deception to try and steal your money. There was ZERO instruction on the fees during the tax prep and a deceiving message right before you pay...if you are nice enough to do so. CK is off of my list of companies I do business with.
