My turbotax experience is always as pleasant as doing your taxes can be. It used to be an intimidating experience, before turbotax. But now, it's truly not that bad!

Convenient, reliable & affordable but sneaky

Overall, I find Turbotax convenient, reliable and affordable. I have tried alternatives and in years past tried multiple avenues to compare return amounts and they've all been in line with each other.
I've never had any hiccups with my tax return being filed, and most of the time I find the hints helpful. The site has made adding documents easier and easier as time has gone on. On the other hand, there are a lot more sneaky fees or forced methods (i.e. have the money deposited into a Credit Karma/Intuit account or you pay $25 for the early bird delivery to your own checking, or the $40 fee to have the fee for the tax return pull from your return itself).
