WASTED LOTS OF TIME

THE PEOPLE I TALKED TO WERE NICE AND AS HELPFUL AS POSSIBLE. THE TURBOTAX IS NEVER FREE SO ITS MISLEADING. THE CHAT WINDOW WENT AWAY AND EVERY TIME I RESTART MY TAXES I GET A DIFFERENT ANSWER. THE SYSTEM CANNOT DETECT AND SCAN THE DOCUMENTS I UPLOADED AHEAD OF TIM E

My income situation was different this year initially proving to be a difficult adjustment in preparing my taxes. The turboTax system made the process very easy.

Functional product, shady company

As far as I know, this is the easiest way to just get your taxes done - they walk you through it and it's pretty doable. However, the advertisements are really misleading and it end up costing hundreds of dollars bc every "feature" - ie. the basic functionalities of actually filing and sending/receiving money based on filing - is an "add-on," as if you would want to just go through the motions of doing your taxes but not submit. Obviously it works and they do what they do to get their money - it's just a shady system that does not build trust.
