MARRIED LIVING IN DIFFERENT STATES

My husband and I live in different states. I was unable to do his state income tax return because it would not give us the option of not living in the same state. It was completely useless in our situation. I imagine that many people who are married live in separate states. This needs to be fixed. I ALSO THINKI I DUMB THAT I MUST HAVE A NICK NAME TO ENTER THIS

tried to file for free would not let me. Predatory Business. They will try to make you file with the paid-for version you don't need.

Saved my sanity!

I had spent almost NINE hours trying to get another online tax service to give me he correct page to report a credit. I was almost in tears, as they have done my taxes for years with no problems. When emails and Tax Support and even an in-person phone call couldn't resolve the problem, I thought of TurboTax. EASY PEASY. you just guided me true the forms and helped in every way possible. I will become a TurboTax user from now on.

It is pretty straight forward. I had a question about the over time credit. Don't really have the money to increase my options with guidance so I only took the over time credit that was listed.

Turbo tax could be better

The program did not allow me to go back and submit the federal only. I ended having to pay to submit the state taxes even though I didn't want to submit the state taxes. I payed $88 when I only wanted to pay for the federal filing. I also couldn't figure out how to direct deposit into my checking account. The system kept forcing me to open a credit karma account that I did not want to open. I don't like the way you get forced into paying more money. I'm planning to look for a different way to file next year.
