A good tax service

Really good service. I didn’t care for that surprise $40 fee to pay with return. Ouch. Other than that, no problem.

Bait and Switch

Bait and switch!! Went for a free federal and state. After I spent an hour doing the form, I was told I couldn’t get it for free. That was fine, but it wouldn’t allow me to take off the State return and tried to charge me for both. I would never had done it if I had known that. After I supposedly “Paid” $0, it wouldn’t let me change anything. I had to open a whole new account and waste another 1/2 hours of my time.

Easy to file but they definitely want your money

TurboTax really does make it pretty simple to file taxes. I wish they wouldn't try to get me to upgrade as often as they do (once is fine, but four times is excessive). I also wish state returns were a lot cheaper.
