Good performance but design is a bit flawed

The flosser is aesthetically pleasing and I really like that it slid down to make it more compact for travel. I also like that it has different options (pulse, clean and sensitive). The water pressure is very strong! I recommend starting on sensitive if you have any teeth sensitivity at all. The other settings are very strong and I had to work my way up to them. But, overall this flosser worked as expected. My mouth felt clean and refreshed after using and it was very easy to use. The only thing that I really didn’t like was the positioning of the buttons. It was very easy to accidentally turn it off or change the setting just while holding it for normal use. For that reason, I would say this flosser would be best for traveling and maybe use a different flosser for daily use. If the placement of the buttons was changed I could see this being a daily use flosser. It’s just somewhat frustrating as is.

Much better than regular floss

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for the opportunity to try this out! I’ll be honest, I HATE flossing. Traditional floss has always caused me discomfort because my gums are extremely sensitive and prone to bleeding. This water flosser has completely changed that. The pulse and clean settings were a bit harsh, but I’m sure I’ll get used to them. The sensitive setting with the comfort tip worked best for me personally. It’s gentle enough that it doesn’t cause irritation or bleeding, but it still leaves my mouth feeling very clean. I have to refill the tank a few times during use because of the compact size. But I don’t mind since it doesn’t take up much counter space. The battery life has been impressive too. I’ve been using it daily for about a week and haven’t had to charge it yet. My only complaint is the button placement. I’ve accidentally bumped the buttons during use and changed modes without meaning to. I’ve also turned it on by accident while assembling the tank, which has resulted in a few unexpected water sprays. All in all, it does the job, and I’m really happy that I finally found a solution that works for my sensitive gums.

Quick and easy way to a clean and healthy mouth

This was my first time using a water flosser despite it being recommended by my dentist for years. I’m so thankful that my first experience was with the Philips Sonicare Compact Flosser 1000. When I received the box I was happy to see that the flosser is indeed compact and doesn’t take up a lot of space in my bathroom counter. I read made sure to read the manual since I had no prior experience with water flossers. The manual was easy to read and setup was a breeze. The flosser comes with a power cord for charging but no power adapter. It was nice that the flosser came charged so I didn’t have to wait to use it. The flosser comes with 2 nozzles and states to replace them after 6 months so essentially you’re covered for the whole year which is very cost effective. The flosser has an easy to fill reservoir that holds a good amount of water. I have to fill it twice for each complete floss but I don’t mind because it’s easy and allows for the device to be compact. The manual said to start with sensitive mode for beginners which I did. There is also a pulse and a clean mode. The modes provide a decent amount of pressure that felt comparable to treatment at a dental office. I was skeptical of a water flosser being able to truly remove any food residue or plaque but to my surprise it did just that in under a minute. My teeth feel smooth and clean each time I use it and I feel like my gums are healthier. Disposable flossers and nylon floss can sometimes leave food particles behind but not with the Philips Sonicare Compact Flosser. Water flossing can be a little messy and it did take me a few tries to get a good routine down but it was worth it and I feel like the Philips Sonicare Compact Flosser provides the perfect tool to achieve a clean, healthy mouth.

Great for travel

As a girl who admittedly HATES to floss and currently has braces, I really love this flosser. It is super easy to quickly fill up with water and I love that when it’s empty, it collapses to be compact for travel. I also love that the nozzle can flip upside down and rest inside the flosser itself so it doesn’t get lost. It comes with two nozzles. While I don’t notice much of a difference between the two, I wish they were slightly more angled to get between my braces and wires a little better. Once I get my braces off, I don’t think the angle will be a problem. This flosser has three different pressure modes and I personally prefer the stronger one since I’m often using it to get food out of my braces. I wish the pressure were a little bit stronger, honestly. I really like the built in timers, as it makes sure I don’t rush through my flossing routine. So far I’ve had no issues with the battery life. Overall, this is a great flosser for someone who doesn’t like traditional flossing and wants a compact flosser that’s convenient for travel.

Effective and easy to use compact flosser

I've been using this compact flosser every night after brushing my teeth for about a week now, and I love it! Previously, I typically flossed at least 4-5 times a week, but since I started using this water flosser, I have made it a nightly routine after brushing my teeth. It comes with both a standard nozzle and comfort nozzle, but I've primarily been using the standard nozzle as I don't have very sensitive gums and feel as though it has given a deeper clean. I feel like it leaves between my teeth and gums feeling almost as clean as after a dental cleaning, which I didn't always get with normal flossing.
With it being a compact, wireless water flosser, I wasn't sure how the water pressure would be, but it exceeded my expectations. I also especially like the fact that it takes up barely any space on my bathroom counter and I can easily travel with it, if I'd like.
The only thing that took me a couple days to get used to was the awkwardness of how to hold the flosser while using it, especially when cleaning my back teeth. However, once I got used to it, it wasn't much of an issue.
I have yet to have to re-charge it with daily use over a week, which has been nice. I'll be curious to see how long the battery will last on one charge!
Overall, I would definitely recommend this water flosser!

Overall Thoughts.
My first impression was how compact and lightweight this flosser is, which makes it really easy to handle. After using it consistently, I’ve definitely noticed my gums feel healthier and my whole mouth feels cleaner than when I was just relying on traditional floss. There’s a noticeable freshness that lasts longer throughout the day.

The water pressure feels strong enough to give a deep clean but not so harsh that it’s uncomfortable. Compared to regular flossing, it’s gentler on my gums and reaches places I know I was missing before. I actually look forward to using it because my teeth feel squeaky clean afterwards.

I really appreciate the thoughtful features on this flosser. The long battery life means I can go days without worrying about charging. The multiple nozzles are a nice touch too, especially if you’re sharing with family members. And the built-in timer cues help me stay consistent and make sure I’m flossing long enough each time.

First Time Water Flosser and I Am A Fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Sonicare Compact Flosser 1000 was easy to set up for my first use - it came ready to turn on (with charging cable for future charging) and it only took me a few minutes to explore the user's manual and follow the setup instructions. That being said, my first use was a bit confusing - I had a hard time getting the water to flow out of the nozzle consistently and it was a bit awkward to adjust to using a water flosser for the first time! After a few more uses, however, I figured out how to adjust the hose that pumps the water from the reservoir so that the water flowed consistently, and I'm really starting to get the hang of using the flosser - I like that the pulsing notifies you when to move to a new section of your mouth to make sure you floss all around. I have been using it on sensitive mode, which is where the user's manual recommended starting - the water pressure still feels pretty strong to me and I like how clean my teeth and gums feel afterward. Although this is marketed as "portable" I'm not sure that I would travel with it, but it's great to have on the bathroom sink counter fort daily use. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this flosser, and a 2-pack of replacement nozzles, to test and review!

Fast Flossing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was extremely excited to receive the Philips Sonicare Compact Flosser 1000 as part of Stellar Product testing panel. The overall look is appealing, with it's small size. I appreciate the three different modes and the consideration to sensitive teeth and gums. The gentle buzz of time indicator to switch sides makes me feel like I'm getting a thorough clean. I have a bridge and this flosser has been amazing for that. Now, you can't have the good without some bad. I feel as though there is a learning curve to using the product. It took me about three uses to get the hang of flossing without creating a flood in my bathroom. When you hold the flosser to the side the water completely stops pumping which makes it a little difficult when you're trying to clean and reach tight spaces in the back of your mouth. No ideal but overall I will continue to use. The Philips Sonicare Compact Flosser 1000 would make a wonderful travel flosser with its long lasting battery too!
