[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this oral health care item from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I'm not a normal flosser, but only when I know I have something stuck in my teeth, so this was an interesting product to try. It is pretty compact if you need to travel, but that comes with pros and cons. There's three settings and two nozzles types, to find a means for everyone. I recommend reading the instructions first. If you don't get it latched into the right spot, the water container will move and cover the on/off button (and water flies everywhere). You need to make sure the "straw" bringing up the water is in the right spot (at the bottom) or it won't work properly. If you are using a water flosser for the first time, it can get messy (water spraying) until you get used to how to have your mouth open to drain properly. I do love the timer cues to move onto the next area. My biggest issue is the water container size isn't big enough to last a full cycle on the clean setting. You would need to stop and add more water. Maybe some don't mind, but this is an annoying inconvenience for me. It does seem/feel cleaner after using, but the true test will be the next dentist appointment.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this compact flosser through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and overall I’ve been really impressed. After using it consistently, my mouth feels cleaner and fresher, and I’ve noticed my gums looking healthier. Compared to my usual flossing routine, the water pressure gave me a much deeper clean and really reached areas that are normally tough to get to.
I haven’t traveled with it yet, but I can already tell the size and portability would make it simple to pack and use on the go. It did take me a few tries to get the hang of it—the first couple of times I definitely shot water out of my mouth—but once I adjusted, it became easy and even enjoyable to use.
Some of the features stood out right away. The long battery life meant I didn’t have to worry about charging constantly, the different nozzles made it easy to switch for different needs, and I appreciated the built-in timer cues that kept me on track. All in all, this flosser has been a great addition to my daily routine, and I feel more confident about my oral health because of it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Philips Sonicare Compact Flosser 1000 as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel! It is a very cute baby blue water flosser and compact it is! This is a great water flosser for travel or on the go! It’s essentially the same size as a toothpaste box. While it was a bit confusing to maneuver at first, after playing around with it, it was super simple! You simply pop it up to expose what is the water tank, fill it with water and press on! It has 3 different modes which each have different water pressure/pulses for whatever you need it for. The water pressure is great considering its size, cleaning all between my teeth very well! It also comes with multiple nozzles for different use as well. Compared to a regular floss stick, this Philips water flosser is 10 times more convenient and time saving. Within seconds your gums and teeth are fresh and clean! I would highly recommend this product as it is convenient, doesn’t take up much space, and gets the job done better than any regular floss.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was extremely excited to receive the Philips Sonicare Compact Flosser 1000 as part of Stellar Product testing panel. The overall look is appealing, with it's small size. I appreciate the three different modes and the consideration to sensitive teeth and gums. The gentle buzz of time indicator to switch sides makes me feel like I'm getting a thorough clean. I have a bridge and this flosser has been amazing for that. Now, you can't have the good without some bad. I feel as though there is a learning curve to using the product. It took me about three uses to get the hang of flossing without creating a flood in my bathroom. When you hold the flosser to the side the water completely stops pumping which makes it a little difficult when you're trying to clean and reach tight spaces in the back of your mouth. No ideal but overall I will continue to use. The Philips Sonicare Compact Flosser 1000 would make a wonderful travel flosser with its long lasting battery too!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Sonicare Compact Flosser 1000 was easy to set up for my first use - it came ready to turn on (with charging cable for future charging) and it only took me a few minutes to explore the user's manual and follow the setup instructions. That being said, my first use was a bit confusing - I had a hard time getting the water to flow out of the nozzle consistently and it was a bit awkward to adjust to using a water flosser for the first time! After a few more uses, however, I figured out how to adjust the hose that pumps the water from the reservoir so that the water flowed consistently, and I'm really starting to get the hang of using the flosser - I like that the pulsing notifies you when to move to a new section of your mouth to make sure you floss all around. I have been using it on sensitive mode, which is where the user's manual recommended starting - the water pressure still feels pretty strong to me and I like how clean my teeth and gums feel afterward. Although this is marketed as "portable" I'm not sure that I would travel with it, but it's great to have on the bathroom sink counter fort daily use. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this flosser, and a 2-pack of replacement nozzles, to test and review!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the privilege of being chosen by Stellar Panel Testing Panel to test the Philips Sonicare Compact Flosser 1000. I have wanted a water flosser for a long time and our hygienest recommended getting one but I was never sure it was as good as traditional flossing so I stuck with regular floss. After trying this flosser I now wish I had purchased one years ago! The size is perfect for my hand and it is lightweight, and easy to use and get used to using! It comes with two nozzles. A comfort nozzle and a standard nozzle. The instructions are concise and easy to understand. The first few times I used it I followed the instructions to make sure I didn't forget anything but that was all it took. It is so easy to use. The instructions recommend the lowest setting for few weeks to get used to the intensity but I did not find it too intense at all and moved to the higher setting quickly and that is what I use it on all the time now. The pacer that tells you when to move to another part of your mouth can be turned off but I found it helpful to make sure you are getting even cleaning in all areas. Some of my suggestions are, definitely buy one! You will love it! Spray it into the sink before your mouth so you can see how far and strong it squirts. When you use it it takes maybe a couple tries to get used to keeping your lips closed enough so it doesn't get water squirting out of your mouth. Personally that didn't happen to me. The first time I used it was not messy at all. I had my husband try it and the whole sink and mirror were wet. He watched me do my own and after that one time no more mess at all. Filling the water port is simple and that one fill lasts through one whole flossing session for me. After the first time I used it I could feel my teeth felt smoother and cleaner. Since then, my gums also feel cleaner. As more time goes by they are even better. The battery lasts a long time. I have not had to charge it yet in the time I have been testing it. I will never go back to traditional flossing! I like to floss now! It was never one of my favorite things to do before. So overall I have to say this is a FIVE star product. Everything about it makes it great for home use or to take on the go. I have already told so many people they have to get one. You won't be disappointed and your mouth will thank you!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the pleasure of trying the Philips Sonicare Compact Flosser 1000 thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I couldn’t have been happier to get to test a product by Philips Sonicare. I’ve trusted them for my dental health for the last 20+ years since my parents got me an electric toothbrush as a teen. The Compact Flosser 1000 did a fine job overall. My teeth and gums consistently felt clean after use. My gums felt healthy after repeated use as well. I was very happy with the battery life of the Flosser, as after two weeks of once daily use, I have not needed to charge it yet. The pulsing feature of the flosser seemed really effective in my daily flossing routine. I really liked the 15 second timer on the appliance. There’s a pause in the flosser that tells me when it’s time to move from the outside of my teeth to the inside, which assures that I floss my entire mouth within the span of one minute. The reservoir was also easy to fill, and it’s very easy to replace the flosser heads when necessary. There were a couple drawbacks of this flosser however. While it is good for travel having the whole flosser contained as one compact unit, the water would flow out of my mouth and down the machine, which gets pretty messy sometimes. Additionally, the bendable “straw” that connects the flosser itself to the bottom of the water reservoir and thus the water supply often gets caught up in the top of the reservoir, meaning I have to disassemble the flosser from the reservoir to fix it. This is especially annoying when I notice this only after I’ve started flossing. Overall, it’s a decent flosser that’s good for travel. But for consistent use at home, I think I would prefer a stationary unit that’s a little more user friendly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Philips Sonicare Compact Flosser 1000 for about a week now. I share a small bathroom with my family of 4 so I love the small footprint. I was shocked (in a good way) when I saw how small it was out of the box! I had a larger water flosser but due to the size and having to plug it in, put in the closet for good. I have only had to charge this flosser once so far even with twice daily use which makes it so easy to incorporate into my daily dental hygiene routine.
Using regular plastic floss, my teeth felts scummy despite twice daily brushing and flossing. The Flosser had made a big difference in how clean my teeth feel after only a few days. They feel cleaner as I'm cleaning around the entire gumline rather than just between my teeth. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with these replacement nozzle heads.
The replacement heads come in a two-pack, identical to the heads (sensitive and regular) that came with the original flosser. They fit the machine well and are easy to swap out.
I worked up from sensitive to regular pressure within 2-3 days. I love the timer that does a pulse/pause every 15 seconds to let you know to move on to the next quadrant of your mouth.
My challenges were learning how to maneuver the Flosser to the correct angle for the inside of my teeth and that it does not include a power block (only a cord that you needs a USB-A block for).
