I choose packages of paper towels according to how many sheets per roll and how many rolls per package. I thus prefer that each roll has at least 100 sheets and that whatever number of rolls in the package each roll costs no more than $1 (maybe $1.05 or $1.10 if necessary). So I tend to buy packages that have (for example) six rolls for no more than $6.00. It is not that easy to find. I think having to pay two dollars or more per paper towel roll is absurd. Some paper towel packages of six ( sometimes each roll has as little as 60 sheets or less) can cost two and half dollars if you divide the price per number of rolls per package. That is according to my method of choosing paper towel packages at a cost that essentially means each paper towel roll is no more than $1. It usually means that the paper towels are not the most heavy-duty use but that is good enough for me usually. Of course too I tend to pick "general-use" quality unless I need something really tough and absorbent. The Coastwide paper towel rolls are two ply but still thin. They are usable for just some small every-day tasks cleaning up minor spills etc. Sometimes my roommate uses a paper towel to spread oil on a pan when she cooks. These towels are good for that. They probably would not beat Bounty or other well-known names overall but I would say they are worth buying at 15 rolls at the price they are sold over the Staples site.

We are constantly trying to save money without giving up too much on quality in our office. We feel these are poor quality towels. People use more of them which negates cost savings. These Brighton towels are not good compromise on quality and cost. The choose-your-size feature is practical but because when wet they fall apart people are using twice as many towels. Like other reviewers we have had trouble tearing the towels at their perforations. We won't be getting these again.
