Perfect home office shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am thoroughly impressed with my Staples shredder. It efficiently chomped through everything I fed it (credit cards documents etc) without any issues making it a highly reliable tool for my needs. The bin capacity is perfect for my usage and the shred size is ideal for minimizing space in our recycling bin on a weekly basis. I keep this shredder in our home office and it fits perfectly in the space. It’s super easy to use with intuitive controls that made the setup and operation a breeze. The noise level is totally acceptable and not disruptive at all which is a big plus when working from home. The only downside is the lack of protection for children fingers. A safety flap or lock would be an incredible addition in a future version. Overall this shredder is a fantastic addition to our home office combining efficiency ease of use and reasonable noise levels. Highly recommended with just a slight need for improved safety features.

Perfect for Home Use

The shredder is super quiet never has any issues with overheating and shreds documents down to an extremely small size. It is very compact and easily fit into our home office space. The fill bin is a tiny bit smaller than most but I am not shredding every day so it works perfectly for our needs. I would absolutely recommend this product to a friend! You really can’t beat the quality of this shredder at this size.

Great Compact Shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked this shredder it's really efficient can handle a lot and I didn't feel like I had to go back through and reshred any of my sensitive documents. Besides the fact that it sheds everything into nice secure small pieces it makes it easier to dispose of the sheds and doesn't take up an entire trash bag. The sound level is what I would expect too it's not real loud but it sounds about the same as any others I've used. It is very compact though and the way the tray is removed is really nice as well. Easy to store which is great when you don't have a ton of space. Overall I'd highly recommend this shredder!

Great Shredder for Home Office

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been very pleased so far with the Staples Mail Mate 12-Sheet Micro-Cut Shredder. It offers many features that fit well with the needs for my family. I’ve used it on several occasions to shred important documents both for professional and personal needs. I work remotely in marketing and HR and this has come in handy when I’ve needed to shred multiple personal documents at a time. While you cannot use more than 12 standard size pages and need to have some “cool down periods” to keep from overheating it fits my needs. I haven’t experienced any overheating or jams so far with the jobs I’ve run. Last week I used it to shred old credit cards and a CD. I was amazed at how well it cut through the material. The shredder is generally quiet except when using for credit cards or CD’s. The bin size is good for up to medium size jobs. The paper or other acceptable items are shredded into such tiny pieces that the bin space will last awhile. I like how there is a window so you can see what level the bin capacity is at. There is also a “Bin Full” indicator to tell you it’s time to clean it. I keep the shredder in my basement which is where my home work office area is. It’s light and a perfect compact size which makes it easy to move it around. When not in use it’s unplugged and stored under my desk. We have young children and don’t want them trying to use the machine or open it up. Overall this shredder has been very easy to set up and use. I feel confident and safer knowing how well my sensitive documents are shredded into tiny pieces.

Perfect shredder for home or small office use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little shredder is great and perfect for my home needs. I love that the bin removes from the side for easy emptying (my old one you had to take the shredder mechanism off of the top of the bin and it was heavy and cumbersome). As the parent to a toddler I also love how deeply the shredder blades are buried under the top housing. Obviously still be super careful and we leave it unplugged when not in use but the blade is much further for fingers reach on this model than our old shredder. The shredding is much more secure and shreds into tiny bits. It's also quieter than my old shredder. PSA - look up the shredded paper recycling guidelines for your local area. Sometimes shredded paper is not recyclable at all and other times there are special local instructions. Shredded paper can jam the recycling sorters!
