Really useful and efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i think this shredder is just right. It’s a nice size pretty compact and does not take up too much room perfect for at home use. I actually keep mine in my living room right beside the couch since it has such a small footprint. It also gets the job and stores the shredded bits in a convenient bin that you can empty at your leisure. For me the bin holds quite a bit for its size just don’t let it get too full or the shredded bits will get everywhere when emptying. Not a major issue just simply monitor how full the bin gets and just empty it a reasonable point. This shredder works quickly quietly and also gives me peace of mind when I throw out my mail since it is is a cross-cut shredder. So much better than the old rip-with-your-hands method and I am certainly not the type to sit with a marker and cross out all my sensitive information. Peace of mind is a big deal and this shredder gives me that without making it feel like a hassle or a chore. Keep in mind it’s not a high volume shredder so don’t get crazy. This is a sleek compact at-home/home office shredder.

Best Paper Shredder I have Ever Used

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Listen: I know it's probably silly to be excited about a shredder but I LOVE this shredder. I've borrowed and used other paper shredders in the past and their bulk and loudness kept me from getting my own. This shredder on the other hand is delightfully compact and surprisingly quiet. I'm able to comfortably keep mine under my desk (don't tell anyone but it also safely makes for a great footrest when not in use). I also cannot overemphasize how quiet this machine is. My fiancé came into the room and was surprised to learn I was using the shredder--he didn't know I was using it until he physically saw me using it. This happened not once but TWICE. If that's not a sell on how quiet this machine is I'm not sure what is. As a P-4 shredder I've been satisfied with the size of the shreds--I feel comfortable that my documents have been shredded in a way where my information is protected. This includes both sensitive documents and credit cards. The bin size is good too. Like other shredders the paper can shred in a pile centered under the shredder itself which means a good shake to distribute the shreds once in a while is a good idea. The shredder has a 12-page per shredding capacity and when tested this remained true. I tested it by shredding more than that limit as well--it has a little wiggle-room though I did end up jamming it once. Unjamming it was also easier than anticipated. Absolutely love this shredder and will continue to use it as long as possible. If you're thinking about getting this product do it! You'll be happy with your choice. (please forgive the hair and rogue paper pieces--this machine does produce some amount of static cling

Easy to Use Shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Micro-Cut Shredder is amazing! It is so easy to use and is so efficient at shredding paper. From the moment I unboxed the shredder to the first use was a breeze. The shredder came all together. I plugged it in turned the switch button to on and just waited for the ready power light to turn on before using. I was able to shred up to 12 sheets at a time with no issues including staples. The shredder is not noisy at all which is a plus. When I was done shredding I pulled out the bin and couldn’t believe how small the paper was shredded. The shredder is small enough to fit perfectly under my desk. For the size of the shredder the bin capacity is a decent size. This shredder will definitely be put to good use!

Perfect for occasional use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all I was very impressed with how compact yet functional this shredder is. I’ve used compact shredders in the past but they were still way bulkier than this one. The efficient and minimalistic design allows to leave the shredder in sight even when office space is limited. My office also doubles as my craft room and it is also the smallest room in the house. Needless to say I need to be very creative with putting more stuff in it! But I had no issues whatsoever with leaving this shredder under the desk where it’s barely noticeable. It also feels quite sturdy in terms of assembly and materials. I work from home 1-2 days a week while my husband works from home full time. Most of the stuff we print is non-sensitive information which simply ends up in recycling. But every once in a while we do need to safely dispose of documents with personal data (for work and personal documents) and expired credit cards here and there. This shredder is absolutely perfect for this! It cuts both paper and plastic cards with ease and is easy/intuitive to use (which I find important since we don’t use it daily so didn’t memorise all the buttons). The shredded pieces are small enough that I’m not worried about privacy. Now if we needed to use it more often I’d probably look for something else since the bin is not exactly huge and frequent use would require more frequent emptying as well. While emptying the bin is not complicated it’s still yet another task on the to-do list. Naturally this is the compromise for having a compact machine. But if you are looking for a good shredder for occasional use this model is great!

Perfect For Our Needs

We use our shredder for shredding personal and work documents and needed a shredder that could manage our needs while also fitting comfortably in a small space. It’s compact size fit perfectly on a shelving unit we already owned and use daily in our office. While the bin is small it was able to hold all of the shredded paper for one shredding session. My husband’s work often requires him to shred sensitive documents and the shred size was small enough that he felt comfortable shredding work items when he worked from home. My favorite feature is that it was quiet enough to use while my toddler napped in the room next door. I would strongly recommend this for a small office that is used for remote work or for shredding personal documents.

Nice compact shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought the shredder was great for the junk mail that I receive. I’m always very wary of my information ending up in the trash especially things like credit card offers. The shredder was the perfect size for keeping in my kitchen and just shredding all of the junk that comes in. I think it’s a little bit too small to be used for any other purpose the bin capacity just is not large enough to me for anything besides mail. I did find I needed to empty it pretty frequently. I definitely did feel that it shredded everything small enough it was not super loud and absolutely served my purposes. It is great if you have a smaller home like I do!

Compact powerhouse

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shredder gets the job done!! I appreciate that it is relatively compact. We have it under our home office desk and use it to shred old bills and anything else with personal info. A friend of ours was a victim of identity theft so we take prevention very seriously. This shredder impressively handles up to 12 sheets at once; even the staples!! (This was the last favorite part of our old one--manually removing all the stabples!) It shreds into such tiny pieces that it would be virtually impossible for someone to piece it together. I have zero worries about our personal info with this! The bin is good size and we haven't had to empty it yet after weeks of use. It is loud during use but this isn't a dealbreaker---I've yet to come across a "quiet" shredder. It is solidly built and I see us using this for years!

Love my new shredder

I love to find products that perform well while also being “space saving.” This shredder fits the bill! This picture shows that it was small enough to fit nicely on a shelf in my office; however don’t let that small size fool you… this shredder has plenty of get up and go! It has good shred speed while also shredding documents into tiny pieces. I love that the cross-shredded size increases security while also allowing more shredded material to fit inside the bin. It looks like it will be quite a while before I’ll need to empty it. Overall I’d consider this shredder a winner! I couldn’t find anything negative about it. I was surprised I could get so excited over a shredder!
