I've used 3 bottles on one drain and nothing has changed. The standing water is still there and won't drain at all...

I'm so sorry to hear Drano® Max Gel didn't perform as we'd expect. Drano® is typically very effective at clearing clogs caused by the natural build-up of hair, grease and gunk. So we can learn more about your experience to assist, please give us a call at 1-800-558-5252 (Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5PM CST) and provide this reference number: 020753240A. - Hanna, SC Johnson Consumer Care

Works well on slow running bathroom drains

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This product is easy to use on slow running drains. My bathroom sink often starts to drain slow after awhile due to hair & soap buildup. I just poured some in the drain & let it sit about 30 minutes and then flushed it with hot water. It worked well to clean the drain and it works fine now.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I like Drano because even if it doesn't work they give you a guaranteed or it's free. I like using Drano Max gel on my bathroom sink. It doesn't work however I do this regularly so that it doesn't become very challenging. Once you pour it in you have to wait about 15 to 30 minutes and then flush it out with hot water.

Drano met its match in my kitchen sink. Now I have this chemical sitting in my kitchen sink and I have to keep ventilating until I can get a plumber here.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I've always used Drano and I love this product. It works well and doesn't take long to work. I use it in my bath tub and bathroom sink. It works well with hair clogs and other buildup. There's other products in the market but I prefer this brand.

Good for a small clog, not a large clog

I made the grievous mistake of washing my Alaskan malamute without first removing all the previous old hair buildup from the drain. The resulting hair mass that was in the drain after separated while I was pulling it out, with the smaller piece that was left behind forming a pretty good tight clog. My shower has been taking roughly 40 minutes to drain itself after a 15 minute shower, not ideal. I've had excellent luck with max gel in the past, and from past experience fully expected to have to treat the drain at least twice to get a good flow going again. Maybe it was the bottle I bought (the BIG bottle that instructs you to use 1/5th of the solution at a time) or maybe the clog is just that bad, but I've gone through the entire bottle, made sure to use VERY hot water, and the slow drain persists. Now it wasn't completely ineffective, I'd say the drain goes about twice as fast as it was before but for my family size and cleaning needs it didn't quite get my drain where I need it. And for full disclosure: I'm living in a rental home that we recently moved to in December. The other bathroom's sink has some nasty grey gooey residue that's slowed them drain down, it's definitely possible there's way more going on in my tub drain than I'm aware of, but the drain worked well enough til I washed my dog. Our next step is to snake and see what we find.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Drano Max gel is my go to for clogged drains. It's super fast and clears up hair in shower with ease.
