No Luck After #3 Bottle

I have purchased 3 Draino Max Gel bottles and have used it several times each day to unclog my bathtub drain. The clog hasn't budged. Nothing works! I would love my money back!

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Drano Max Gel is my go to for any clogs I have. It has never failed me to open up a drain. I had to go through the process twice but it did work to open my drain.

I used half of a 1.3 qt container in right kitchen sink and left it for 20 minutes then ran hot water. Did not work so used the other half of the container and left for 30 minutes. Still did not work. Then I opened another container and used half in the left sink for 15 minutes but it did not do the job so I used the other half of container and left it for 30 minutes. The sink now drains at an extremely slow pace. Maybe this will work better if I go buy another couple of containers and repeat the process, however, why? I will go buy another product and see if that works to complete the job.

Dan - I'm sorry to hear Drano® Max Gel didn't perform as we'd expect. When used according to label directions, we'd expect it to be effective after two applications. However, if the clog is further along in the pipe or if there is a foreign object, this may cause the product to be ineffective. We'd like to hear more to better assist you. It is really easy to use, and is fast acting. This large size is a great value and can be used for more than one clogged drain. It is safe on all metal and plastic pipes! this product guaranteed a clear even on a complete blockage. Apparently my upstairs bathroom sink was to much for it....even though it was a slow leak over a complete blockage. followed instructions to the letter and nope...nothing.

I knew I had a clog fairly far down the sink P-trap because I'd used a DIY snake with no effect. Used the first 1/2 bottle and saw slight improvement. Used the second 1/2 and saw more improvement. Got another bottle, used the first 1/2 and the drain opened fully--was great to see the sink drain in seconds! Would definitely recommend!

Efficient easy to use product for clogged drains

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I tend to have standing water in my bathtub. If I use the shower, that's attached to it. This is a guest bathroom that is not used frequently. I planned to call a plumber, but I was able to use Drano max gel as directed, and it seemed to push through whatever was clogging or slowing down the drainage of the water. This is a very inexpensive, to train your sake efficient way to treat a slow drain and it could have amounted to a very big problem.
