Awful ink cartridge

Got the full set of these- none of them worked in my HP Officejet Pro printer. Followed the troubleshooting directions but still no luck. Finally called and they sent me a replacement set and guess what? THEY DON'T WORK EITHER! Will take them back to Staples- meanwhile the printer hasn't worked in over a week and I am not a happy camper.

I just installed the XL cartridges and cannot really tell how the length of use will turn out or the number of copies I will produce with these refills. The print quality if good so far. The stated number of copies to be printed has yet to be determined..

I purchased two sets of the three colors. Upon loading the color cartridges my printer accepted them (but noted they were not HP genuine--and to not expect any warranty help--it's been out of warranty for quite a while.) Screen ink levels showed full. As soon as I tried to print something the color indicators went to completely empty and the printer would not print. I wanted to love them as they are certainly less expensive than genuine cartridges (which are WAY overpriced) but if the arrive empty what good are they? Stranded with no ink project due. Worse is I ordered online and there is no info on how to do a return. I am not near a store. (That's why I ordered online.) I was hoping this was a solution to overpriced continuing HP ink-sink. Sad we are caught in the cycle with inexpensive machines that cost a fortune to use. Thanks HP. As I have no way of knowing if HP eventually refused them or they arrived empty I won't be using again.
