Took a chance on these with them not being OEM HP cartridges. This Covid pandemic has impacted even simple things like ink cartridges HP site was out of many cartridges for my 6970 printer. They arrived I opened them inserted in my printer and the printer wouldn't recognize them. I tried everything reinserted them power off printer you name it. No go. So I called the number on the cartridge box. Spoke with a gal named Amy super helpful. She determined that HP did a printer firmware update that made the cartridges incompatible with the printer. I bought all three colors magenta cyan and yellow. She checked their stock and said replacements would be in my hands in a few days and that a shipping label would be sent to my email to return the cartridges that I could not use. The cartridges arrived in two or three days. As the weather was cold and they were shipped ground via UPS I let the cartridges acclimate to room temperature for a day. Next day put them in and bingo! They worked. Naturally the HP printer displayed something like "Not an HP EOM Cartridge". But the color cartridges work and I don't get the "low on ink" every time I print. I do not print much color so time will tell on their longevity but I'm pleased that Amy helped me out and got me up and going.

The printer would not let me use it. It kept saying it was not installed properly so I put the old one back in.
