The first cartridge I opened spilled ink all inside my printer. When I took it out of the printer it leaked on my floor hands and everything near. Do I want a replacement NO NO NO NO NO!

Did Staples Update 902XL so it is not rejected by HP's June firmware update?

HP updates firmware and the required cartridge "chips" periodically in an attempt to eliminate use of 3rd party cartridges. In order for Staples 902XL cartridges to work properly the cartridge MUST have an updated chip to match HP's recent firmware update. Does Staples have updated chips to match HP recent firmware update? Since it appears many users have written reviews stating their printers do not recognize the cartridges it appears Staples has not done this required "chip" update. Unfortunately once HP downloads the firmware eupdates to a customer's printer there is no easy ways to roll back to the prior firmware version. I learned the hard way.

I was told this would replace the ink in my HP printer. Due to updates from HP the printer does not accept this cartridge. I was able to return..thankfully.
HP Printers only work with actual HP cartridges. We tried off-brand in the past but I hoped a Staples Brand remanufactured cartridge would work. My printer recognizes as not HP and will not accept it. Very dissappointed.
