BUYERS BEWARE!!!

I purchased this player from Best Buy and pretty much as soon as I got had problems with it. The wifi connectivity is fair at best and consistently freezes up when viewing netflix! This unit is very slow with downloading and my router is located directly next to this player, sooo not sure why it's so slow? As has been mentioned in previous reviews when it freezes player must be unplugged from wall in order to reset, pressing the power button will not do anything. Also as mentioned by others when pushing the pad usually doesn't work well and is very frustrating. This player obviously isn't the most expensive which I didn't mind paying more for a player that would've worked better but the Best Buy salesman said this one was "good". Obviously some blame should be passed on to the salesman who had no idea what this product was really like or would never have recommended it. So all in all not a happy customer! Don't know that I will purchase any more Samsung products after this even though I used to buy them all the time. Apparently you can't use the same nickname as somebody else! Even if you have the same name... That's ridiculous! How hard can we make it to post a review?
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Every time I try to play a movie on Netflix the wifi connection gets lost, I know it is not my router because my Iphone stays connected and my other devices don't have this problem, I have tried everything from other users, still the same problem, it might need a new firmware update I don't know it is frustrated watching a movie and the wifi either rebuffers or stops completely.
Cons: Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Downgraded, disconnected, 5 apps ONLY.. ZERO STARS

Don't think this is an upgrade from your older wifi-ready vs wifi built-in This unit vs the 2010 wired BD-E5400 you give up reliable connectivity, constant server not found messages, 2 mins and done if your lucky before it drops out when watching via "allshare" that is if allshare/link or whatever non-functioning spyware samsung is foisting on their customers currently.
If you set up a plex server then MAYBE you can watch a served movie, of course since they REMOVED the samsung app store (4 commercial movie apps and youtube that's it) so you don't have the plex app on the unit, you go from a nexflix like experience, actually better inmo, to a lousy dos/text based interface.
And lastly don't expect your samsung tv remote to run this, it won't (at least not mine from a newer samsung 32" lcd) and don't expect the buttons to be worth a darn either, rather than making them navigation buttons so without the remote you could access everything, instead you can have play/stop/eject/power ONLY no menu, no way to access 90% of the unit functionality..

Good Little Player, But...

I think most people will like this player, but it has a deal killer for me. It's going back to the store.
I like the ability to play other media, especially MKV's. I like the compact size, but it's so light you can not push in the tray without the entire unit sliding. (forgivable)
I dislike the small remote, the buttons are so close together you must use your fingernails to press them.
There is no power LED on the front, so you must stand up and walk over to the unit to make sure the power is off. Maybe it automatically shuts off, I don't know. The deal killer is the horrible Cinevia infection. It will not play copied disks. I will be returning it and finding a player without Cinevia.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: cinevia infection, no power incicator led in front, remote buttons too small, usb socket in rear
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a beautiful Blu-ray player. With its great features and a wonderful performance. I love the simplicity and the the compatibility of it. The wireless option makes it easy to install anywhere in your home. I think the only downside is that despite of the great apps that the device comes with, still the lack for the option of installing new apps in the device.
Pros: beautiful design, sophisticate technology
Cons: not enough apps
I would recommend this to a friend!
