dont lose your remote

idk why this product has such good reviews.. it freezes constantly with netflix.. has to be unplugged to be reset, the touch control is nice. but with the only options being play, pause, stop, eject don't lose your remote.. cause it will only function as a dvd/br-dvd player.. in my opinion. its nice and small that about all it has going for it.. also lacks an Ethernet connection.. so don't go too far from your wireless router... the 2 star rating is because I own quite a few Samsung products. but this is not one I would recommend

Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, wireless range of 15ft through a floor

good product for the money / remote is a little rough to use & for old people like me is hard to read when not enough light // otherwise is great

Great first Blu-ray

This is my first blu-ray and I couldn't be happier. It's small, fits in with the rest of my electronics. Very easy to get set up. Has some features I haven't used yet, though I do plan on doing so when time permits. I really enjoy the fact that I can plug in my external usb drive and play movies that I had backed up on it.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color

this player is a great player for a low price, it has built in wifi as well as connectivity to the samsnung link pc program for streaming

Great value for the money

The BD-E5400 is great value. Comes with built-in WiFi which makes connecting to the web so much easier. In addition it has a small foot-print, smaller than most text books. The remote control is clear & easy to use with a Netflix button right in the middle as well as a Pandora button. Setup was simple and the walk-through was easy to follow & intuitive. The apps are adequate beginning with Netflix and include, Pandora and YouTube. Would definitely recommend this player.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight, compact, easy to use

An inexpensive BD player. It would turn a regular monitor to a smart TV.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: no data port for wired option.

Quit after less than 50 discs

I purchased this for our second home, which means it sees very little use and is always covered when we are not there. After less than 50 movies, it is absolutely useless. It will not recognize any discs anymore. I am disappointed that this paper weight has Samsung's name on it.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

A current firmware update that includes Hulu and other available apps would make this player much better.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
