Great, reliable Blu-ray player!

I've had mine for a few months now, and can say that this is one of the higher-quality pieces of electronic gear that I've ever had. Picture/sound quality is superb for HD streaming and for Blu-ray playback. Even standard definition DVD's look better than normal when played on this deck.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this Blu-ray and with Samsung for making such a great piece of gear.

I have this unit and unfortunately bought one for a friend as well. The Wifi doesn't work well at all. The Netflix App always freezes and you have to unplug the unit just to get it back. Once it does you cannot do anything until you unplug it. I had to hook up a Wii to use for apps to my TV and just use this a a disc player only. If you are looking for a good deal, i would suggest something else.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i should have got another bluray player to stream netflix, because this player is horrible. it freezes and wont shut off, i have to unplug it everytime i want to turn it off. netflix laggs quite often and more than half the time it wont work properly. even on the main menu, the devices processor runs very sluggish.
I have 2 - 32" samsung led tvs, 1 - 46" smart led tv, samsung crystal clear soundbar, 2 - galaxy S3 smartphones.... and this piece of junk
please update with a firmware that is capable to run apps correctly, and please fix all bugs

The player is very unreliable at best. It freezes on Netflix app and with playing bluray movies. We have to unplug it every time to reset it, and then it will work... most of the time. I have not been very impressed with this machine.

i'm not sure if it's just mine or what but it's extremely slow, freezes all the time, the wi fi is horrible meaning it's constantly disconnecting then reconnecting and i know it's not my router. i've owned this for only a few months now and am about to throw it away. It is a nice design and the layout is nice but the software part of it is absolutely poor.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I would love everything about this device... if it worked

I purchased this device just this month to take along to my dorm room. Now that i'm in my dorm room and i'm attempting to use it, i've had to unplug the device 6 times today just to get it to unfreeze. Using the blu-ray/dvd function is decent, thought the pause and unpause reactions are slightly delayed, but the main issue is using Netflix or any other internet-required apps on the device. Even trying to select Netflix has caused the device to freeze, requiring me to unplug the whole system to cure. Watching a show or movie on netflix is almost unbearable due to the fact that it either takes 10 minutes to load or it freezes after finally loading, causing me to have to start over by once again unplugging the device. I've tried just shutting the device off both by remote and on the device itself, and it either won't turn off by remote, or will turn itself back on when i try shutting it down on the device. Even opening and shutting the door to the disk drive is slow and delayed so much that by the time it catches up, it opens and shuts 6 times before i can get a disk in. I love all the features it provides, and i love the layout of the system both physically and on the screen. But it simply does not work in a way that doesn't have me pulling out my hair.

Cons: slow, freezes

Got this player to compliment my 3 Samsung TV's. Pro: regular dvds play great. Cons: 1) the manual buttons barely work, especially the power button, which is in a weird place. from where I sit you cant tell if its going off or coming on. 2) the response time lags behind the remote time. 3) no function display anywhere. would like to know if i'm rewinding, the time or some type of ambience. 4) apps take forever to load or freezes, and when it does, especially Netflix, you have to unplug it. Mine just stopped working altogether so I will be returning after only a month. Needless to say I am disappointed in this product.
Pros: Lightweight, plays regular dvd's very well

It was time to upgrade and I couldn't happier with my choice. Quick and easy to connect. I was off and running in just a few minutes exploring the apps with the onboard wifi connection and collection of all my favorite movie streaming selections. Love the size of this player - tucks easily under my flat screen. Keep us the innovation!!
