Buy the more expensive brand of Blu-ray!

Device worked intermittently for about 14 months, e.g., constantly froze in NETFLIX mode, DVD would sometimes not eject, often times couldn't power on with remote, slow to connect to Wi-Fi, etc. Now it is officially dead ... of course, two months after the limited warranty expired. I spent an extra $20 and bought our daughter another brand at the same time we bought this Samsung. Other brand has 100 apps, while the Samsung has only 5, and she wanted the extra apps. Other brand has always been faster to connect and has not had one single issue. I still like my Samsung 42" plasma TV and my two (2) 32" Samsung LED TVs, but no more Samsung accessory electronics for me. This time I'll spend the extra $20.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy and Stylish

We couldn't be more pleased with the easy set up and ease of use. Operating is so simple with the slightest touch--in fact it's fun to see just how light a touch triggers a function. The player looks discrete and stylish with a modest appearance.
Of course, the Blu-ray movies look crisp and sharp but I am most impressed with the sound--full and rich.

I went from VCR to Blu-ray for last years Christmas gift to myself. I couldn't be more pleased. The only feature I would change is placing the power indicator light on the front of the unit so it would be visible without having to walk over to it to see if is on or off. Thank you Samsung. Don

Great Player for the price and has built in Wi-Fi as well
and is very easy to set up and can update firmware when
needed in just a click of the remote. I'm going to buy
another one shortly for my other TV in the bedroom. You
won't go wrong with this player

Netflix Streaming Not Working Well

Bought this mostly so we could stream Netflix. Already had a Samsung DVD player that didn't stream Netflix. Well after setting it up and selecting our first Netflix item from our instant queue we were disappointed. The steaming stopped and we got the "loading" message for several seconds. It seemed like we couldn't get more than 5 minutes thru watching before this happened again, and again, and again. More than 5 times during 1 episode of Mad Men. This problem does not occur when I stream Netflix on my MacBook pro. If anyone knows of a fix please let me know. thanks

I set up the player - never played a disk and now it does not power off and unresponsive.. I bought two of these players on black friday one works and one does not..
