Wow. I've tried Sumatran coffee before, from an automatic drip coffee maker. Then I was very unhappy with the Sumatrans, thinking their coffee was not good. Turns out I was wrong, and I just needed a Keurig. This coffee is delectable. Everything you'd want from a strong cup of coffee-full body, interesting flavor... - but none of the bad burnt texture, or bitterness. Having tried as few as I have, giving a 5 is hard, because I've been trying to grade them against each other. However, a 5 here is truly deserved.
WOW! Having problems waking up in the morning? Like bold coffee? Pop one of these in your machine, it's an eye opener. This is a fantastic coffee, a definite favourite. It will definitely be on my order again, again and again.
This is great coffee, not to mention that it is organic AND Fair Trade, so it appeals to the socially conscious side of me (Yeah, yeah, we have to deal with added plastic cups into landfills. Keurig is working on a recycled plastic which will work with their cups.). In any event, this coffee is as dark, rich and heavy-bodied as I have tasted. The mouth feel is fairly thick and earthy. The way certain wines render the taste of clay and earth, this one does the same here. But this coffee has many notes and layers, one of the more interesting ones being almost a dark chocolate (as another reviewer has noted). There is an ever so slight bitterness to the last note of this, almost slightly burnt, but not quite. That could be a deterrent to some, as could the density of this coffee. On the other hand, the richness and many layers here make this a interesting and satisfying coffee. It wouldn't be the only one in my arsenal, but if I'm looking for a rich experience that really stands on its own (just as you don't always want to drink full, heavy red wines), this is a great coffee, but I can see this not being everyone's cup of tea.
Pros: Dark Chocolate-like layer, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Pleasing Aroma, Exceptional/Interesting Flavor

Excellent coffee. I brew two cups of this every morning and then hit the shower while it cools. When I get out of the shower my entire apartment has filled with the smell of this coffee, it's awesome. And; not only does it smell great, it tastes great as well!
Of the 20 or so k-cups I've tried I like this one the best. It's a nice robust dark with no bitterness or acidy bite. A smooth cup of dark. The Black Tiger was a bit too bitter with a bite to it for me, others I like are Emeril's BAM Dark Roast and the Sumatra Kopi Raya so if you like either of those you'll probably like this one.
Just not my favorite. Liked Tully's Sumatra sample we bought better....but couldn't find it today to buy a box. Maybe next time
Pros: Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Pleasing Aroma
Cons: Not Enough Flavor

Don't let the words Extra Bold or Robust or Strong scare you away from this wonderful coffee. Cupping it the first time is a surprise, but the real secret is to be discovered about 30 seconds after drinking the first gulp!! Try it.....
Pros: Balanced Acidity, Not Bitter, A surprising aftertaste, Smooth Taste, Exceptional/Interesting Flavor
I would recommend this to a friend!

Comparing Starbucks with Green Mountain Coffee Sumatra I can not tell much difference. I will buy this brand because it is Fair Trade Certified Organic and less expensive.
