I have been drinking Green Mountain Sumatra Reserve for close to 10 years and have 6 boxes on Auto-Delivery. I use 6 oz. of water with each cup. Very smooth not harsh at all.

Finally - a bold coffee I can go for!

This is by far the best extra bold coffee! I've tried the other Green Mountain extra bold varieties (Espresso Blend & Dark Magic). They're just not bold enough. At the 6oz cup size, it's not enough coffee; and at the 8oz, it becomes watery. And then especially when you add some creamer in there - add a drop of creamer in there, and it's already too light/milky! And even when drinking it black, it doesn't have much intense flavor either. I've also tried the extra bold variety pack from Coffee People such as Jet Fuel, Wake-up call, Black Tiger and Organic. These are much better. At least when you drink it black in the 8 oz cup size, it's not watery and still tastes bold. Out of these I think the Organic variety is the best. But going back to my initial review of the Sumatran, it's BOLD, dark, smooth, INTENSE! If you like strong, bold coffee like Starbucks (w/out the burnt taste) this is the coffee for you!
I love bold coffee, and have found the Keurig makes mild coffee, so I have tried every bold they have in K-Cups, and this is one of my three favorites. Smooth, unique flavor, and really strong. Love it!
I was very skeptical when I first tried Green Mountain Coffee. After all, I'd only been accustomed to the "other" major brands and didn't think anything could ever change my mind. I was amazed at the strong flavor that left no bitter aftertaste that all too often accompany the darker roast coffees. I honestly felt I would never switch from my Columbian coffee but all it took was one cup of Green Mountain Sumatran! I am so happy that I "gave in" and had that first (of many) cups. Green Mountain Sumatran is my new "all-time" coffee and I look forward to trying other Green Mountain flavors!

I've been drinking this coffee for a few years but I've been very disappointed lately. My parents have been telling me for months that it doesn't taste the same and I kind of brushed it off. I now understand. It tastes very weak and diluted ...doesn't have the rich taste and aroma anymore. Very disappointed.

The best coffee I have ever tasted, yes much better that Starbucks which is so loaded with caffeine that it alters the taste of this fragrant, complex flavored coffee, not just dark and bold, but so much more!

My beloved Sumatran reserve of old is gone. It has been replaced by a weak watery almost-coffee something that is deeply unpleasant.
Cons: Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body, Unappealing Or Flat Aroma, Not Enough Flavor
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So nice and rich with a bold flavor without bitterness. Ordered the pod sample pack to try it out and will definitely be ordering as one of my primaries. My other favorite dark roast coffees are Timothy's Rainforest, Jet Fuel and Rev. Sample pods are a great way to try new pods.
