Gimmick or not?

I first bought 10 months ago just to test it out and prove to myself it was just another gimmick. Unfortunately I can't. This is amazing and I don't understand why its just soap right? I now look forward to cleaning grease off the stove, BTW takes less than 5 min on a bacon burger grease covered stove that has sat over night. Even my teenage son who thinks everything should be cleaned by his hired help... that's me, had started cleaning his room literally from top to bottom with only Dawn as his assistant. Now we use it throughout the house. This stuff is great, easy to open, tough on grime, I'm sold.

this product is horrible it does nothing it's advertised to do, a big waste of my money for sure!! Won't purchase again!! If you want to market/sell something that gets the job done on more than just dishes, we used it on laundry stains rims of our cars you name it it was an very awesome product. Bring back Dawn Dissolve.

Not so good

I bought this today and tonight I used it for the first time. It has an strange awful smell I can tolerate but I sprayed it on a non stick grill, that had grease on it and it did very little to remove the grime. I had to do it again several time, and finally regular dawn did the trick with a scrubby. This product did not do as advertised!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It may be helpful to know that it's intended for use on dishes that you typically wash by hand with traditional dish soap! This includes plates, bowls, serving dishes, glasses, utensils, cooking pots and pans, casserole dishes, and more. Depending on the material your grill is made out of, this product may not be tested for use on it. Horrible

I took bought the Power Wash, BIG mistake. Does NOT cut grease as old regular Dawn does. That cuts through grease so nicely, this product does not.
Spray of foam hits the air and the taste gets in your mouth.
The fragrance is horrible, smells like old ocean water. I have to buy another dishwashing product.

Our Dawn Platinum Powerwash Dish Spray is specially formulated to deliver superior cleaning power on even the toughest greasy messes, and we suggest letting the suds sit on the dishes for about 4-5 minutes before rinsing and wiping if they’re heavily soiled. We also recommend using this product in a well-ventilated area, and to make sure that you’re spraying it away from your face. As well, it may help to hold the dishes at arm’s length to increase the distance between the spray and your nose/mouth. Re-label as General cleaning product, PLEASE!

I bought this on a hunch, as I've always used regular Dawn in my cleaning arsenal for soap scum etc.
Nothing has been better! The only issue has been the copius suds, but after all it is dish detergent, so is too be expected.
Well, i bought the Dawn Platinum Powerwash for my new vintage inspired tiled bathrooms & tub you cannot use products that will etch it, ie anything abrasive.
Well I immediately thought of Dawn for soap scum as I always used it in the past & it was effective, but gentle.
Boy did it do the job & the Powerwash doesn't have as many suds!
I also used it on REALLY tough stains on my ceramic stovetop that I exclusively use the stovetop cleaner for. I sprayed the Dawn Platinum Powerwash first, then went at those stubborn stains in conjunction with the ceramic cleaner.....they are GONE!

Every time my daughter comes over and wants to cook up something special, it’s lots of dishes and a greasy stove with burnt on mess! I was thankful that Powerwash helped with the dishes and pots and pans, but when I looked at my stove I wanted to cry! Then I thought, it couldn’t hurt to try now could it? I tried power wash on my stove, and it worked better than any cleaner I ever tried and no film, my stove looks brand new! Anxious now to try it on the grill grates!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dawn Free & Clear Powerwash Dish Spray is amazing! I cannot say enough how much I love this product. I don't have a dishwasher in my apartment, and this dish spray helps to make washing my dishes more manageable. All I have to do is spray, rinse, and, wipe and presto my dishes are done and clean. I highly, highly recommend this product!
