Does not have HP Chip

These do not work for any HP Printer that need HP chips in the cartridges. My Printer would not read unless HP. Unfortunate because they were a more affordable option. Make sure your printer does not require the HP chips. HP Printer Firmware will block printing.

The firmware on the Officejett 7740 will not accept the refurbished cartridge. Message will appear after installation and will not print thereafter.

This is one of the few times I have purchased Tru Red products and my printer said I must use a valid HP cartridge.

Recent HP firmware updates for my HP 8710 printer block use of non-HP cartridges. If there is a way to go back to previous firmware version I could not find it.
