Hi Kristel,
Thank you for your review and valuable feedback. We would like an opportunity to improve your experience with your connected IoT devices while on your RBE373 WiFi network. Orbi WiFi 7 WiFi networks are encrypted with WPA2-PSK + WPA3-Personal encryption by default. This is because it is the best blend of compatibility and security available. However, some devices such as printers, smart devices (IoT), and older devices are not compatible with this level of encryption. For these devices to work, you must connect them to a network with a lower level of encryption. For more information, we recommend visiting this resource: https://kb.netgear.com/000066695/How-to-resolve-issues-connecting-devices-to-your-NETGEAR-WiFi-7-network.
We also recommend ensuring your RBE373 Router and Satellites are on the most recent firmware v12.1.3.11 which contains enhancements for overall system stability: https://kb.netgear.com/000068430/.
If you're still experiencing any issues, please reach out to us at netgearteam@netgear.com — we’re happy to help! If your experience has improved, we’d really appreciate an updated review.

Connecting devices
on November 5, 2025

OMG. so hard to connect devices if they connect at all. I spent an hour on the phone with someone I could hardly understand. The next day I spent another hour trying. Gave up and sent it back. Google mesh connected everything “all 12” devices in 1/2 hour.

Disappointing Performance for the Price
on November 9, 2025
Posted by: Bryan
I have a 1 Gbps internet plan, and while the Orbi 370 router delivers about 600–700 Mbps near the main unit, the speed drops to just 300–360 Mbps when connected to the satellites upstairs. For the price, I expected much better performance. My Spectrum WiFi pods actually provided over 500 Mbps in the same upstairs area at a fraction of the cost. I was hoping for an upgrade with the Orbi 370, but unfortunately, it hasn’t lived up to expectations.

Wireless Speed Just LIke Wired
on November 21, 2025

I recently purchased an Orbi 370 Dual Band WiFi 7 Mesh 3 pack from Net Gear. I was always an Orbi fan and had the Orbi wireless mesh system (earlier models) over the last decade. After purchasing this, I was blown away with the ease of set up and (most importantly) the performance and value of this system! I did a speedtest and with 1GB service from Altafiber, I was astounded by the 978.14 download speed and 642.99 upload speeds. My IT guru and long-time technology go-to-guy saw these speeds and, like me, was blown away. Both my wife and I stream daily from home offices and have over 26 devices connected to the network. So happy that Orbi (once again) leads the way in WiFi 7 mesh networking. Thank you Net Gear!

Excellent Coverage for large home.

After trying multiple extenders with poor results, got the ORBI 17 three pack system. The set up was easy and has excellent coverage for the entire house for streaming on multiple televisions and WiFi for computers and Zoom calls. Very pleased with the seamless connectivity between the satellite units and the devices automatically connecting to the nearest satellite station. Strongly recommend for anyone having connection problems especially in a large home.
Quite simple to set up the basics. However, security, camera, ring doorbell, tv, thermostats, automatic light switches, printers, speakers systems all had to be redone, reinstalled.or even replaced. Took hours figure out each devices protocol. Each one has different software and setup. NEVER AGAIN. Your IT department knows what they are doing, but many of your customers are not that tech savvy. Also, my old Orbi system was working well and I was forced into purchasing more of your upgraded product because u arbitrarily decided to discontinue the line and support. The question is how soon until u do that again. Two years??? Very unhappy and disappointed customer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Michael, Thank you for your review, we appreciate your feedback and we want you to know that your experience is important to us. We are sorry to hear that you are having a difficult experience with connecting some of your connected devices to your RBE373. For these devices to work, we recommend visiting this resource with guided instructions: https://kb.netgear.com/000066695/How-to-resolve-issues-connecting-devices-to-your-NETGEAR-WiFi-7-network. NETGEAR products receive regular firmware updates over the course of their lifecycle. These updates contain bug fixes, performance enhancements, security fixes, and new features. While our team works tirelessly to provide these critical updates as long as reasonably possible, NETGEAR products eventually reach the end of their lifecycle for a variety of reasons including technological advancements, product maturity, market demands, and other reasons. For instance, given the rapid pace of technological innovation, there comes a point when older software stacks either cannot support the updates needed to ensure a seamless level of performance or cannot reasonably be updated at all. Slowwwwwww

This is pure junk. The website description said that this would be an improvement from our Orbi system that we purchased five years ago. It is 1/3 the speed and slower than Cox! We didn’t have it hooked up for more than half a day and returning it now. Don’t waste your money.
