Doesn’t work as well as my Orbi Mesh RB10. Can’t connect all of my 21 devices even though distances of less than 20 ft. It works for some not others of same make and mfg. Spent days trying to connect. Changing to my old password did not help. Using the alternate lot and passcode did not help. That just took more time for nothing.

Hi Valued Customer, Thank you for your review and valuable feedback. We would like an opportunity to improve your experience with your connected devices while connected to your RBE373. Orbi WiFi 7 Mesh WiFi networks are encrypted with WPA2-PSK + WPA3-Personal encryption by default. This is because it is the best blend of compatibility and security available. However, some devices such as printers, smart devices (IoT), and older devices are not compatible with this level of encryption. For these devices to work, you must connect them to a network with a lower level of encryption. Quite simple to set up the basics. However, security, camera, ring doorbell, tv, thermostats, automatic light switches, printers, speakers systems all had to be redone, reinstalled.or even replaced. Took hours figure out each devices protocol. Each one has different software and setup. NEVER AGAIN. Your IT department knows what they are doing, but many of your customers are not that tech savvy. Also, my old Orbi system was working well and I was forced into purchasing more of your upgraded product because u arbitrarily decided to discontinue the line and support. The question is how soon until u do that again. Two years??? Very unhappy and disappointed customer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

NETGEAR products receive regular firmware updates over the course of their lifecycle. These updates contain bug fixes, performance enhancements, security fixes, and new features. While our team works tirelessly to provide these critical updates as long as reasonably possible, NETGEAR products eventually reach the end of their lifecycle for a variety of reasons including technological advancements, product maturity, market demands, and other reasons. For instance, given the rapid pace of technological innovation, there comes a point when older software stacks either cannot support the updates needed to ensure a seamless level of performance or cannot reasonably be updated at all. We were notified that our old Orbi was aging and given a discount to upgrade. Setup was easy. The Orbi seems to be working fine with all our smart conveniences with the exception of smart bulbs controlled by Alexa. They randomly turn off and on. There are no routines involved and I've tried different bulbs to no avail. Also our Avanta water heater timer failed to connect. We changed to the 2.4 Ghz and that also made no difference. We are at a loss...

Only one of the two satellites would connect to the modem.

Hi Rickey, Thank you for your review, we appreciate your feedback and we want you to know that your experience is important to us. We are sorry to hear that you have been having a difficult experience with connecting one of the satellites for your RBE373. When experiencing an issue with syncing, we recommend power cycling your Orbi Mesh RBE373 and re-syncing your Satellites to your Router beginning in the same room and moving the satellites out to their intended destination: https://kb.netgear.com/31018/How-do-I-sync-my-Orbi-router-and-satellite. Bought to replace a RBR850 in a 2500 sq ft ranch house. Setup was fairly easy since I was replacing an Orbi system. Satellites went thru a firmware update. I use one satellite with the 850. Replaced the 850 satellite with the 370 at the same spot and placed the 2nd satellite between the router and the other satellite. Backhaul status was good on both satellites. In my opinion, the wifi speed degrades significantly. At the router I was about 1.1 gb and the furthest dropped to about 250mb. About 50 mb faster than my 850 so to me not worth the investment. The WiFi Analytics in the app does not work either.
