Easy setup. I installed one satellite so far and that was plug and play. Good coverage. I do miss the usb plug for my external hard drive on my old nighthawk router.
I am having trouble connecting to my smart plugs, printer, iRobot vacuum.

Hi Kristel,
Thank you for your review and valuable feedback. We would like an opportunity to improve your experience with your connected IoT devices while on your RBE373 WiFi network. Orbi WiFi 7 WiFi networks are encrypted with WPA2-PSK + WPA3-Personal encryption by default. This is because it is the best blend of compatibility and security available. However, some devices such as printers, smart devices (IoT), and older devices are not compatible with this level of encryption. For these devices to work, you must connect them to a network with a lower level of encryption. For more information, we recommend visiting this resource: https://kb.netgear.com/000066695/How-to-resolve-issues-connecting-devices-to-your-NETGEAR-WiFi-7-network.
We also recommend ensuring your RBE373 Router and Satellites are on the most recent firmware v12.1.3.11 which contains enhancements for overall system stability: https://kb.netgear.com/000068430/.

Took me about fifteen minutes to set up, most of which was waiting for the app to automatically find the satellites. App is actually useful for managing your network. Farmhouse full of metal walls now has consistent, strong WiFi signal. Extremely pleased and will buy more satellites to extend to garage.
I'm not sure why I "upgraded." My Orbi 6 was WAY faster and more reliable than the 7. Granted, the 6 was starting to have lots of bugs and crashes, which is why I decided to switch. So far, I am very unimpressed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Ari,

This system was replacing a Nighthawk WiFi 6 mesh system and I have to say that it was a nice upgrade. Speeds increased by 50% with the new system due to the stronger WiFi 7 signals.
Netgear support did an excellent job on helping me get upgraded to ORBI 7. I currently was using an ORBI version that is no longer supported. The surprise was it no longer had 2 slots for ethernet hard wire connections. So, I had to also buy a POE switch. The tough part is all the things you have to connect to again. And 4 out of the 14 items I had to connect to required replacements. It relates to 2.4 G vs 5.G. The video doorbell, Flo Moen detectors, and the KASA plugs required replacement. The scanner didn't require a replacement but now can't scan wirelessly, so will be replacing it too.
