no more cable wifi

Reviewing Orbi 370 Mesh Network

I purchased the three pack and this was an upgrade from my previous Orbi mesh network. Overall, the install was seamless and smooth. The app guides you through the process step by step and assists with the process. Very easy regardless of your technical expertise or capabilities. It takes time depending on the number of connected devices to change the WiFi network and password. Fewer obviously is faster than an expansive network.
My rating is not higher because I don’t notice a significant difference or increase in speed, reliability, or stability or reduced latency. The initial test showed the new model with nearly double; however, since that time, my speed tests are running very low. This is disappointing because I would not have spent the money to ultimately have the same or similar service.
The satellites are much larger than the previous network and are more like mini towers.
I went with this brand over others for a number of reasons and believe the transition was simplified in part due to the consistency

Product works as expected

I wanted a wired backhaul wireless mesh network. This does that well. I used moca adapters for the wired backhaul. I achieved isp limited speeds at all locations. I don’t like the constant armor guard (whatever you named it) reminders; apparently your network gear is insecure otherwise why do you need armor guard.

Needed a setup for multiple rooms and longer distance areas away from the router. Also steel sided building and walls to deal with. Using wireless diagnostic tools and computers requiring fast, strong wifi. This system works great for us.

A very good product for residential

Overall these are a very simple and effective device for home router and wifi purposes. Having additional satellite extenders certainly does provide better signal quality and faster wifi speeds to a far greater portion of the home. The only downside is the boot time and the sync time. I have found it best to set them all up in one room, make sure they are all booted and synced then relocate them to the other areas that needs coverage.
