I'm used to putting serious miles on huge gym treadmills, but not anymore thanks to COVID. While this unit isn't a monster like one of those, it's still substantial enough to provide a great home workout. Walking and running speeds are both solid. If you want a machine that feels like you could put a bunch of miles on it, but don't care about all the fancy extra screens and boutique fitness classes included with more expensive treadmills, go with this one. It gets the job done.
We had a couple of early disappointments when our treadmill was shipped. The box it arrived in was flimsy and had been significantly damaged. Fortunately, no visible damage was seen on the treadmill, so we proceeded with assembly. After completing assembly we were met with more disappointment, as our unit would not operate. It would just beep incessantly and the safety key was not being detected properly. Apparently this is a known common issue; a circuit board component is commonly the point of failure and the key will not be detected, rendering the entire unit unusable. Customer service was very friendly and promptly shipped us the necessary components to repair the issue and had a contractor reach out to us to schedule in home repairs. We were unable to use our treadmill for about 2 weeks after receiving it, but after the repairs were completed, our unit has since worked as expected. The unit is large, about the size of many commercial treadmills, and anyone shopping for a treadmill needs to take this into consideration and plan and carefully measure where you will be placing the unit. It does fold up (sorta) but it is still a space hog and it is not something you are just going to slide into a closet or push to the side of a small room. And while the unit does roll on two wheels once folded, it is still very heavy and awkward to push and maneuver. In fact, my wife cannot even move it. Just be aware of its bulkiness. Otherwise, the unit is solid, seems well built, and has been enjoyable to use. We do wish the instruction manuals were a bit more detailed and gave more common usage tips and how-to steps.
I love my treadmill but it was very difficult to put together. It took three of us over three hours to put it together. Now that it's finally put together I love it. The only thing I would change is the fan, it points straight up so it doesn't really do much for cooling off.
